Hotel New Ueno - Tokyo

During my recent five-night stay, I was thoroughly impressed by the excellent service and prime location. The staff were friendly, allowing me to store my luggage a day early at no charge. I loved the complimentary skincare kit and bath salts available at the counter. The accessibility to various transportation options, close proximity to Ueno Station, and numerous restaurants made exploring easy. Plus, the room was always clean and comfortable!

I stayed here for four nights as a solo traveler, primarily to catch trains to the airports. The location couldn’t be better, just two minutes from Ueno Station, making it convenient. My Japanese-style room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the daily amenities, including a good chocolate treat. Breakfast was authentic and delicious, although I wish breakfast hours were a bit longer. The staff was super helpful, enhancing my overall experience.

The total stay was great for 2 nights. Location: the hotel was not far from Next to the Ueno train station and the markets, restaurants and transport. There was Niagara Sub Shoppe nearby, offering quick meals. Food in the coffee bar was fabulous!

Good hotel with excellent wi-fi, friendly staff, and air conditioning. I remember how the staff helped me find where to exchange money during my first stay. Highly recommend it for a comfortable stay!

We liked this staying. Normal double and reasonably large room, everything was excellent. Booked a room with 1 additional bed. The service was excellent, the food was good. We had early check-in on arrival.

The Ueno Station. The room was quite small for three people and felt cramped. The staff was friendly, and the amenities provided were decent, though the cleanliness could be improved a little.

It was a friendly place. They are always open so no worries with a late arrival. Really close to station (really good location) and room was clean.

The only thing we thought wasn't that great was the shower room. The roof had some mold and the floor was really dirty. If you wear flip flops in then no worries :).

It was just a strong match for resting at all in Tokyo with good price-quality ratio. The room wasvery comfy and tidy. Make sure to wake up early for breakfast because they aren't flexible about timing.

The room was dirty with pest issues. I found stains and mold on the walls, unacceptable. The poor upkeep of the rooms.

The staff is friendly

The hostel is dirty and full of bugs, like hundreds of bed bugs who made us change to another hotel. We got the money back for the days we didn´t stay.
